Religion vs Spirituality

You ask, what is the difference between spirituality and religion? The difference is, spirituality can take from any religion, from all, or none. Religion is a particular package of beliefs.

Maury, I agree with you on that. My question to you is "what is the difference between spirituality and mysticism?"

I think mysticism would fall under spirituality rather than religion for the simple reason that all religions have mystics. Secondly, whatever religion the mystic comes from, the mystics tend to agree, whereas the regular believers tend to stick to the tenets of the faith as given. If I read the Christian mystics and then the Sufi mystics, I hear the same message. The mystic doesn't take the religion on faith. The mystic goes to the core, not satisfied with the practice of the faith. At the core, all religions drink from the same well.

Excellent response Maury. Again I agree with you. Religions have many differences, but their mystics have much in common.
