Trust in That

The Absolute is the only thing that is real. As they say, "The real is that which does not change." The Absolute is the subject that projects all form, including forms of apparently limited consciousness. No form is the doer. Every I is but a limited form, a focal point of the Absolute. Rest in that. Trust in that is the only freedom we have.

Isn't it that each aspect of the absolute is contributing, like any cell is contributing, but we have become conscious so can consciously contribute, albeit only within the relative and inside highly limited scope? This is how it feels to me...would be very interested to hear your sense/experience/realisation on this.

John, that is a very good analogy. They do exactly as you say. They contribute very specifically according to their type. The difference I see is that the cells probably don't feel a sense of choice. We do. But our sense of choice leads down a dark path because we take it as proof that we are the doer. Then we can feel sin and guilt and shame and all kinds of feelings that are self destructive. I doubt a cell has any issues in this regard. Maury

Thanks Maury. Could I ask your further response on the following?

Some time ago I had a wordless experience of melting into infinity, and after that began exploring through meditation and contemplation. This lead quite quickly to the witness state, then deepened to something I would describe as 'being the awareness'. The mind certainly has not fallen silent and still goes off on ramblings, but it has no power whatsoever to take me over and even in moments of physical pain the attention is only briefly pulled back into the experience. Alongside this state has come the knowledge that this body/mind is in flow with the Absolute and all will be good, but I have the sense that there remains conscious choice that this manifest aspect of the All that I am, could exercise. I have zero inclination to do so now, but had I not woken to my true self, my ego certainly would still be doing nonsense! It would be great to hear back on this. John

John, that's a well worded description of the process of recognition. My answer to your followup question got long as you brought up many items that come up in the realization process. So I posted my answer to you as a blog post entitled "The Process of Recognition." Let me know if that answers your question.

Thanks for the input!

Hi Maury, thanks, yes it does. Ultimately the sense I have (at present), is that while incarnate in form, the extent to our possible knowing is severely limited. Some humans seem, to greater or lesser degrees, to almost transcend this limitation and gain access to deeper regions of knowledge from the subtler realms. But the subtle is also consciousness in manifestation. While active on any manifest level, as aspects of the All, we, as all entities, participate in the mystery. The egoic state that arises when the consciousness believes it is separate, participates selfishly, creating disharmony and suffering. The awakened consciousness participants in the divine flow. My sense is that only the very rarest humans merge with the pre-manifest, and only in that rarefied state would there be non-doing. ....But what do I know!!! 😂
